Abstract： Autism spectrum disorder is among a wide range of developmental disordersis， which is one of the most common mental disorders，with no clinical specific treatment. In recent years，there have been more and more reports on the treatment of autism by acupuncture and moxibustion，but most of them use scalp acupuncture and moxibustion. That is because its pathogenesis is closely related to the five zang organs in Chinese medicine， and the five zang organs are also related to the traditional Shumu point. Starting from the relationship between autism and the five zang organs as well as the relationship between the five zang organs and Shumu point， this paper discusses the feasibility of treating autism from Shumu point，and illustrates with typical medical records.
