Abstract：Objective：To observe the improvement of core stability training combined with electroacupuncture on motor function in patients with hemiplegia after stroke. Methods：A total of 152 cases of patients with hemiplegia after stroke were divided into two groups according to the random number table method. Both the study group and the control group were treated with electroacupuncture，and the study group was additionally given core stability training. Both groups were treated for 30 days. Before and after treatment，the scores of Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA)，Berg Balance Scale(BBS)，66-Item Gross Motor Function Measure(GMFM-66)，Trunk Impairment Scale(TIS)，Activity of Daily Living(ADL)，Quality of Life(QOL) and Stability Index(SI) ， the grading of Functional Ambulation Category(FAC) ， and maximal walking speed over 10 m (10 mMWS) were compared. Results： After treatment， the scores of FMA， BBS， GMFM- 66 and TIS as well as FAC grading in the two groups were improved when compared with those before treatment，and the above scores and grading in the study group were higher than those in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the dynamic motor function in the two groups was improved when compared with that before treatment；the 10 mMWS and the scores of ADL and QOL in the study group were higher than those in the control group，and the SI score was lower，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of core stability training combined with electroacupuncture for patients with hemiplegia after stroke has better improvement effect on their motor function than that of simple electroacupuncture.
