Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture analgesia on one- time root canal therapy for acute pulpitis. Methods:A total of 120 patients with acute pulpitis were divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method,60 cases in each group. The control group was given local block anesthesia treatment with conventional articaine and lidocaine, and the study group was additionally given acupuncture analgesia based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect and adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate was 98.33% in the study group, higher than that of 85.00% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was 1.67% , lower than that of 11.67% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Acupuncture analgesia is clinically effective in one-time root canal therapy for acute pulpitis, with small side effect and high safety.
