Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Huoxue Tongmai tang combined with Shengji Yuhong ointment for patients with diabetic foot ulcer. Methods：A total of 80 cases of patients with diabetic foot ulcer were selected，and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method，40 cases in each group. The control group was given routine treatment， and the observation group was additionally treated with Huoxue Tongmai tang combined with Shengji Yuhong ointment based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for eight weeks. The clinical effect was observed in the two groups. The recovery of ulcer wound before and after treatment was compared between the two groups. Results：The total effective rate was 92.50% in the observation group，higher than that of 72.50% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the area of ulcer wound in the two groups was decreased when compared with that before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the area in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group(P＜0.05). In the observation group，the wound healing time was shorter than that in the control group， and the first appearance time of granulation tissue was earlier(P＜0.05). During treatment， there was no significant adverse reactions in the observation group；there was one case of nausea and one case of vomiting in the control group. There was no significant difference in adverse reaction rate between the two groups(P＞0.05). Conclusion： In the treatment of patients with diabetic foot ulcer，the therapy of Huoxue Tongmai tang combined with Shengji Yuhong ointment can shorten the wound healing time，and promote the growth of granulation tissue，with significant clinical effect.
