Abstract:Objective:To observe the curative effect of comprehensive Chinese and western medical measures for senile incontinence- associated dermatitis(IAD). Methods: A total of 128 cases of IAD patients were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, 64 cases in each group. In the two groups, incontinence was actively treated; local skin was cleaned and protected; sulfur ointment, erythromycin ointment, triamcinolone acetonide econazole cream were applied according to the skin lesions;comprehensive nursing measures such as nutrition supplement, fluid intake management and appropriate repair were given. The observation group was given corresponding medical measures according to different skin lesions characteristics. Both groups were treated for ten days. Before treatment and after ten-day treatment, the scores of Incontinence-Associated Dermatitis and Its Severity(IADS) and IAD Skin Condition Assessment Tool(SCAT) were evaluated. The clinical effect in the two groups was compared. Results: After treatment, the clinical effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05); the IADS scores and the scores of skin damage range, skin redness and erosion depth in SCAT in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01);the above four scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01). Conclusion: Compared with that of modern comprehensive medical measures alone, the intervention of comprehensive Chinese and western medical measures in senile IAD patients can better improve the symptoms of dermatitis and reduce the severity of the disease.
