Abstract: Objective: To observe the application of emotional nursing of Chinese medicine on patients undergoing chemotherapy of acute myeloid leukemia(AML). Methods:A total of 73 cases of AML patients who underwent chemotherapy were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method , 35 and 38 cases in each group respectively. The control group was given routine nursing,and the observation group was additionally given intervention of emotional nursing of Chinese medicine based on the nursing of the control group. Both groups were given three- month nursing intervention. The changes in negative emotions and quality of life before and after nursing were observed. Results: After nursing, scores of Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA) and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD) in the observation group were decreased and lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After nursing,scores of quality of life including emotional function,social function,psychological function and physiological function in the observation group were increased and higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). The satisfaction rate was 94.74% in the observation group, higher than that of 80.00% in the control group(Z=2.407, P<0.05). Conclusion: The intervention of emotional nursing of Chinese medicine on AML patients undergoing chemotherapy can reduce negative emotions, improve quality of life with higher nursing satisfaction.
