Abstract:Objective:To explore the intervention effect of point massage combined with respiratory function exercise on patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD). Methods: Seventy patients with COPD were enrolled in the study by prospective and parallel control method, and were divided into two groups by envelope randomization, 35 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing like environmental nursing and medication guidance, and the observation group was additionally given point massage combined with respiratory function exercise based on the routine nursing. The nursing effect and lung function indexes before and after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 94.29% in the observation group, and 82.86% in the control group, the difference being significant(χ 2=5.985, P<0.05). Before intervention, there was no significant difference in the comparison of lung function between the two groups(P>0.05). After intervention, repeated analysis of variance showed that the levels of forced vital capacity(FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1) and FEV1/FVC in the two groups were increased when compared with those before intervention;the levels of pulmonary function indexes in the observation group were better than those in the control group by t test, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Point massage combined with respiratory function exercise can effectively improve lung function of COPD patients, which is safe, economical, maneuverable, repeatable and controllable.
