Abstract: Based on the understanding of Qinglong Baiwei method with effect of moving qi and activating blood in XU Feng's Jinzhen Fu,this paper makes a preliminary analysis of the theory of Qinglong Baiwei method combined with tendon nodes for knee osteoarthritis by summarizing Chinese medicine theory and modern research on knee osteoarthritis. It is believed that the treatment of Qinglong Baiwei method combined with tendon nodes for knee osteoarthritis is mainly through stimulating tendon nodes to stimulate local meridian qi, thus transmitting meridian qi from collateral vessel and meridian vessel to viscera and bowels, which can not only treat the disease of local knee joint itself, but also adjust viscera and bowels and pass the qi and blood through collateral vessel and meridian vessel. The combination of the technique of Qinglong Baiwei method and the treatment is more conducive to dredging the meridians and collaterals, activate blood and resolve stasis,so as to achieve the purpose of treating the internal and the external simultaneously. Combined with the etiology and pathogenesis of knee osteoarthritis, which is “deficiency in the root and excess in the branch”,the clinical application of Qinglong Baiwei technique of both supplementation and drainage at the tendon nodes can smooth the movement of qi and blood,as well as tonify the liver and kidney.
