Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Jinshuibao capsules and Wuzi Yanzong pills for idiopathic oligospermia and asthenospermia in male patients. Methods： A total of 127 cases of male patients with idiopathic oligospermia and asthenospermia were selected and divided into the group A(42 cases)， the group B(42 cases)， and the group C(43 cases) according to the random number table method. The group A was given Wuzi Yanzong pills；the group B was given Jinshuibao capsules；the group C was given Jinshuibao capsules and Wuzi Yanzong pills. Semen volume，sperm density，sperm motility at a level，as well as sperm motility and sperm motility rate both at(a+b) level were compared among the three groups before and after treatment. Levels of luteinizing hormone(LH)， testosterone(T)， and follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) in serum before and after treatment，as well as clinical effect were compared. Spouse pregnancy and adverse reactions caused by medication were observed. Results： The total effective rate was 90.70% in the group C， higher than those of 73.81% in the group A and 71.43% in the group B，differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，semen volume，sperm density，sperm motility at a level，as well as sperm motility and sperm motility rate both at(a+b) level in the three groups were increased when compared with those before treatment，and the indexes above in the group C were higher than those in the group A and B，differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，levels of LH，T，and FSH in serum in the three groups were increased when compared with those before treatment，and the three levels in serum in the group C were higher than those in the group A and B， differences being significant(P＜0.05). During three- month follow- up after treatment，the total spouse pregnancy rate in the group C was significantly higher than those in the group A and B(P＜0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 2.33% in the group C，and 0 in the group A and B，there being no significance in the difference(P＞0.05). Conclusion： In the treatment of male patients with idiopathic oligospermia and asthenospermia， the therapy of Jinshuibao capsules and Wuzi Yanzong pills can significantly increase semen quality and level of hormone in serum，thus enhancing the clinical effect and clinical spouse pregnancy rate，with good safety.
