Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Chinese medicine Zhike prescription combined with compound methoxyphenamine capsules for post-infectious cough. Methods：A total of 91 cases of patients with post-infectious cough were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method ， 45 and 46 cases in each group respectively. The control group was treated with compound methoxyphenamine capsules，and the observation group was treated with compound methoxyphenamine capsules combined with Chinese medicine Zhike prescription. Before and after treatment， the changes in symptom scores of cough in the daytime and at night， levels of immunoglobulin(Ig) markers including IgM， IgA and IgG， and C- reactive protein(CRP) in the two groups were compared. Results： After treatment for four， eight and ten days respectively， the symptom score of cough in the daytime in the observation group were lower than those in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment for four，eight and ten days respectively，the symptom score of cough at night in the observation group were lower than those in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of immunoglobulin markers including IgM，IgA and IgG in the observation group were significantly increased when compared with those in the control group，CRP was improved than before treatment and that in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Chinese medicine Zhike prescription combined with compound methoxyphenamine capsules for post- infectious cough can significantly relieve clinical symptoms，effectively inhibit the inflammatory levels of the body，relieve airway responsiveness and regulate immune function.
