Effect of Nutrition Intervention Combined with Chinese Medicine Emotional Nursing on Gastrointestinal Function of Patients Undergoing Abdominal Surgery
Abstract: Objective: To explore the clinical value of Chinese medicine emotional nursing combined with nutrition intervention for patients undergoing abdominal surgery. Methods: A total of 120 cases of patients undergoing abdominal surgery were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,60 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, and the observation group was given nutrition intervention combined with Chinese medicine emotional nursing. The indexes of nutrition and immune function before and after intervention, the gastrointestinal function and the incidences of complication in the two groups were compared. Results:Before nursing intervention, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the indexes of nutrition between the two groups(P>0.05). After intervention, the levels of each index of nutrition in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before surgery, but the levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). Before nursing intervention, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of immunological indexes between the two groups(P>0.05). After intervention, the levels of each immunological index in the two groups were increased when compared with those before intervention, and the increase in the observation group was more obvious, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The time for taking food, anal exhaust time, and anal defecation time in the observation group were significantly shortened when compared with those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The incidence of complication was 10.00% in the observation group and 26.67% in the control group, the difference being significant(χ2=5.319,P<0.05). Conclusion:The application of Chinese medicine emotional nursing combined with nutrition intervention for patients undergoing abdominal surgery can significantly improve their nutritional status, gastrointestinal function and immunity as well as reduce the incidence of complications, which is a safe and effective treatment.
