Abstract：Objective：To observe the application effect of Chinese medicine nursing on chronic heart failure(CHF) in senile patients. Methods：A total of 80 cases of senile CHF patients were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method， 40 cases in each group. Both groups were given routine western medicine treatment； the control group was additionally given routine nursing， and the observation group was additionally given Chinese medicine nursing including emotional nursing， point application and diet nursing based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were intervened for one month. Before and after treatment，the indexes of heart function，the scores of Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD) and Hamilton Anxiety scale(HAMA) and the nursing satisfaction in the two groups were compared. Results：After intervention，the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) in the observation group was larger than that in the control group(P＜0.05)； the left ventricular end- systolic diameter(LVESD) and the left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD) were shorter(P＜0.05)；the scores of HAMD and HAMA were lower(P＜0.05). The nursing satisfaction was 97.50% in the observation group， higher than that of 75.00% in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The application of Chinese medicine nursing for senile CHF patients intervened with routine western medicine and routine nursing can improve their heart function，relieve their negative emotions and enhance the nursing satisfaction.
