Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of Qingfei Jiedu tang combined with biapenem on Clinical Pulmonary Infection Scores(CPIS),serum procalcitonin levels and oxygenation indexes(PaO2/FiO2) in patients with pulmonary infection. Methods:A total of 90 cases of patients with pulmonary infection were selected and divided into the study group and the control group according to the random number table method,45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with biapenem, and the study group was additionally treated with Qingfei Jiedu tang based on the treatment of the control group. CPIS scores, serum procalcitonin levels and blood gas indexes before and after treatment as well as the clinical effect in the two groups were observed;the incidence of adverse reactions during treatment was counted. Results:The total effective rate was 95.56% in the study group, higher than that of 88.89% in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,CPIS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and CPIS score in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, serum procalcitonin levels in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the level in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, partial pressure of arterial oxygen(PaO2),blood oxygen saturation(SaO2) and oxygenation indexes(PaO2/FiO2) in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the above indexes in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 4.44% in the study group, lower than that of 17.78% in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Qingfei Jiedu tang combined with biapenem can effectively relieve the symptoms in patients with pulmonary infection, improve the blood gas indexes and enhance the clinical effect with high safety.
