Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Zhengtian pills combined with western medicine for migraine with stasis obstructing the brain collateral syndrome and its regulatory effect on vasogenic activity mediators. Methods:A total of 100 cases of patients who met requirements were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,50 cases in each group. In attack period, both groups were given paracetamol tablets, for those patients whose pain could not be relieved, they were additionally given the oral administration of zolmitriptan tablets, and treatment was discontinued after symptom remission; in remission period, they were treated with the oral administration of flunarizine hydrochloride capsules for eight weeks. The observation group was additionally given the oral administration of Zhengtian pills with eight- week continuous treatment. The seizure times of headache before and after treatment were recorded. The scores of the degree and duration of headache,as well as the scores of Migraine- Specific Quality-of-Life Questionnaire(MSQ) were evaluated. The levels of nitric oxide(NO),endothelin-1(ET-1),calcitonin generelated peptid(CGRP), 6- keto- prostaglandin F1α(6- keto- PGF1α) and other vasogenic activity factors before and after treatment were evaluated. The clinical effect was compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the clinical effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05). In the two groups, the seizure times of headache were reduced when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01),and the scores of the degree and duration of headache were decreased(P<0.01). The seizure times of headache in the observation group were less than those in the control group(P<0.01),and the scores of the degree and duration of headache were lower(P<0.01). In the two groups, the scores of role restrictive dimension(RR), role preventive dimension(RP), and dimension of emotional function(EF) were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01),and the scores of the three dimensions in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.01). In the two groups, the levels of NO were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01),and the levels of 6-keto-PGF1α,CGRP,and ET-1 were decreased(P< 0.01). The level of NO in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.01),and the levels of 6-ketoPGF1α, CGRP,and ET-1 were lower(P<0.01). Conclusion:The therapy of Zhengtian pills combined with routine western medicine can significantly improve seizure of migraine and improve quality of life of patients. It probably plays a therapeutic role by regulating vasoactive mediators and correcting maladjustment of vascular contractile and diastolic function.
