Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of tuina manipulation combined with extracorporeal shock wave for heel pain. Methods:A total of 60 cases of patients diagnosed as heel pain were randomly divided into two groups,30 cases in each group. The control group was given routine analgesic treatment in western medicine, and the treatment group was given tuina manipulation combined with extracorporeal shock wave. Both groups were treated for two weeks. The curative effect was observed, and the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) scores and the evaluation of clinical effect in the two groups were recorded. Results:The comparison of clinical effect between the two groups showed significance in the difference(P<0.01). After treatment, the VAS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.01). The scores of Foot Function Index in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and the score in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.01). Conclusion:The therapy of tuina manipulation combined with extracorporeal shock wave has good curative effect in treating heel pain, which is better than that of routine analgesic treatment in western medicine alone.
