Abstract：Objective：To explore and compile the administration rule for treating fire pathogen-induced symptoms in the Yichun Shengyi based on data mining. Methods：Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System(V2.5) was adopted to carry out data mining of the prescriptions for treating fire pathogen-induced symptoms in the Yichun Shengyi，and obtain the frequency，pairs，natures，flavors，channel entry and correlation degree of Chinese herbs，and to extract the core combinations and new prescriptions for treating fire pathogen-induced symptoms. Results：By analyzing 41 prescriptions and 130 Chinese herbs in total，there summarized 20 herbs with frequency equal to or over five，19 common herb pairs，eight core combinations and 3 new prescriptions. Conclusion：The prescriptions used to treat fire pathogen-induced symptoms in the Yichun Shengyi are mainly cold and bitter. However，they are not all cool and cold herbs，but are cautiously combined with other natures and flavors， involving cold， warm， tonic， discharging， clearing， dissipating， attacking and draining ones. The treatment is not all to clear fire when fire arises or clear heat when heat arises，but to examine the syndrome and find out the cause，differentiate the interior and exterior as well as deficiency and excess，and emphasize on treating the root and branch separately.
