Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Erlong Zuoci pills for presbycusis. Methods：A total of 60 cases of patients with presbycusis were randomly divided into two groups，30 cases in each group. The control group was simply treated with sound therapy，and the study group was additionally treated with Erlong Zuoci pills based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for three months. The clinical effect，deafness grading after treatment，and the changes in serum inflammatory indexes including tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)，interleukin-1β(IL-1β) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the two groups were observed and compared. Results：The total effective rate was 86.67% in the study group and 60.00% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，patients without deafness accounted for 36.67% in the study group and 16.67% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment， there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of TNF-α，IL-1β and IL-6 between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment，the levels of TNF-α，IL-1β and IL-6 in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The application of Erlong Zuoci pills has significant curative effect in treating presbycusis， which can relieve tinnitus， restore hearing and improve the levels of inflammatory factors in serum.
