Abstract:Objective:To discuss the effect of emotional nursing of Chinese medicine on anxiety and depression emotions in patients with vascular dementia. Methods:A total of 84 cases of patients with vascular dementia were divided into two groups according to the random number table method,42 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was additionally given emotional nursing of Chinese medicine based on the nursing of the control group. Before and after nursing, the changes in scores of Mini- Mental State Examination(MMSE),Activity of Daily Living (ADL), Hastgawa Dementia Scale(HDS), Wechsler Memory Scale(WMS), Self- rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) and Self- rating Depression Scale(SDS) were compared between the two groups. Results: After nursing, the MMSE scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before nursing(P<0.05), and the score in the observation group was significantly increased when compared with that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After nursing, the scores of ADL,HDS and WMS in the two groups were improved when compared with those before nursing(P< 0.05). After nursing, the scores of ADL,HDS and WMS in the observation group were improved more obvious when compared with that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After nursing, the scores of SAS and SDS in the two groups were improved when compared with those before nursing(P<0.05), and the above two scores in the observation group were significantly improved when compared with those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Emotional nursing of Chinese medicine for patients with vascular dementia can effectively relieve their anxiety and depression emotions, promote the recovery of nerve function, and improve self-care ability, with significant clinical effect.
