Curative Effect of Local Sliding- Cupping Combined with Bleeding- Cupping Therapy on Psoriasis Vulgaris and Its Effect on Levels of HPA and VEGF in Serum
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of local sliding-cupping combined with bleeding-cupping therapy on psoriasis vulgaris and the changes in the levels of heparanase(HPA) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in serum before and after treatment. Methods: A total of 90 patients with psoriasis vulgaris were randomly divided into the conventional treatment group, the cupping group and the combined treatment group, 30 patients in each group. The conventional treatment group was given irradiation of narrowband ultraviolet B(NB-UVB) combined with external application of Hasinade cream;the cupping group was treated with local sliding- cupping combined with bleeding- cupping therapy;the combined treatment group was treated with the above two treatment schemes simultaneously. The three groups were treated for eight weeks. The clinical effect in the three groups was observed and HPA and VEGF levels in serum were measured before and after treatment. Results:The markedly effective rate was 86.67% in the combined treatment group, 56.67% in the cupping group, and 63.33% in the conventional treatment group. The combined treatment group had higher markedly effective rate than the cupping group and the conventional treatment group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the comparison of markedly effective rate between the conventional treatment group and the cupping group(P> 0.05). After treatment, the levels of HPA and VEGF in serum in the three groups were all decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05); the levels of HPA and VEGF in serum in the combined treatment group were decreased more significantly than those in the conventional treatment group and the cupping group(P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the comparison of HPA and VEGF levels between the conventional treatment group and the cupping group(P> 0.05). Conclusion: Local sliding- cupping combined with bleeding- cupping can improve the clinical therapeutic effect on psoriasis vulgaris, and its mechanism may be related to the reduction of HPA and VEGF levels in serum.
