Abstract： Objective： To observe the effect of Yiqi Huoxue prescription combined with tranexamic acid on hidden hemorrhage and functional recovery after total knee arthroplasty(TKA). Methods： A total of 40 cases of patients who were treated with TKA in Ningbo Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2017 to November 2019 were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group， 20 cases in each group. The control group was given tranexamic acid，and the treatment group was given Yiqi Huoxue prescription combined with tranexamic acid. The postoperative hidden blood loss was counted. The scores of knee joint function after surgery was evaluated by Knee Society score(KSS). Results： The hidden blood loss and the total blood loss in the treatment group were than that in the control group(P＜0.05). In the two groups，the scores of KSS seven days，three months and six months after surgery were increased when compared with that before treatment(P＜0.05). The increase of KSS in the treatment group seven days and three months after surgery was more significant than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：Yiqi Huoxue prescription can effectively reduce hidden blood loss of TKA，relieve the severity of anemia，conduce to postoperative recovery of knee joint function，improve prognosis.
