Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of integrated Chinese and western medicine nursing on psychological state, life quality and sleep quality of patients with esophageal cancer. Methods:A total of 120 cases of patients with esophageal cancer were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, 60 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given integrated Chinese and western medicine nursing. The scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS),the World Health Organization's Quality of Life Scale-Brief Version(WHOQOL-BREF),and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI) before and after nursing were compared between the two groups. Results:After nursing, the scores of SAS and SDS in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before nursing(P<0.05); the two scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After nursing, the scores of physiology, psychology, society, environment, independence, and spiritual word/religious/personal belief in the two groups were increased when compared with those before nursing(P<0.05);the above each score of WHOQOL-BREF in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). After nursing, the scores of sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep duration, habitual sleep efficiency, sleep disturbances, sleeping medication, daytime dysfunction, as well as the total score of PSQI in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before nursing(P<0.05);the above each score of PSQI as well as the total score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:In nursing of patients with esophageal cancer, integrated Chinese and western medicine nursing can promote their quality of life, relieve negative psychological state, and improve sleep quality.
