Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Xianyimucao capsules combined with estrogen and progesterone on hemorrhage after medical abortion and menstruation recovery. Methods： A total of 86 cases of patients underwent medical abortion were randomly divided into two groups，43 cases in each group. After medical abortion，the control group was treated with estradiol valerate tablets and progesterone capsules， and the observation group was additionally treated with Xianyimucao capsules based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect， the situation of hemorrhage， menstruation recovery and the levels of estradiol(E2) and progesterone(P) in serum before and after treatment were observed and compared between the two groups. Results：The total clinical effective rate was 97.67% in the observation group，and 74.42% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The arrival of the menses in the observation group was earlier than that in the control group，and the duration of hemorrhage and menstruation in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). On the 14th and 21st days after treatment，the levels of E2 in the two groups was increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the P level was decreased (P＜0.05)；and the two levels in the observation group were more significant than those in the control group at the same time point(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Xianyimucao capsules has significant curative effect on treating hemorrhage after medical abortion， which can effectively improve hemorrhage and the levels of sex hormones in serum， and restore the menstrual cycle.
