Abstract：Through literature arrangement，the etiology and pathogenesis，Chinese medicine treatment and integrated Chinese and western medicine treatment of schizophrenia(SCZ) were reviewed. The clinical manifestations of SCZ are complicated and various，and there are many limitations in clinical syndrome differentiation. In recent years，the therapy of Chinese medicine combined with integrated Chinese and western medicine for SCZ has shown certain advantages，such as high safety and mild adverse reactions. The rational use of modern experimental detection technique is an important means to improve the accuracy and timeliness of Chinese medicine therapeutic scheme and an important direction to realize the modernization of Chinese medicine.
