Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Yi Jin Jing exercises combined with articular injection for early-to-mid osteoarthritis. Methods:A total of 90 patients with early-to-mid osteoarthritis were selected and randomly divided into two groups, 45 patients in each group. The control group was treated with articular injection of sodium hyaluronate;and the treatment group was additionally treated with Yi Jin Jing exercises based on the treatment of the control group. Yi Jin Jing exercises were performed once a day for five consecutive days for five weeks, and the articular injection was performed once a week for five weeks. Changes in the scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),quality of life, and surface electromyography(SEMG) were observed in the two groups. Results: After treatment, the scores of VAS in both groups were decreased, and the VAS score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). In terms of the score of WHOQOL-BREF,the scores of subjective feeling of quality of life, subjective feeling of health status, physiological field and psychological field in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, differences being significant(P<0.05); there was no significant difference in the comparison of the scores of physiological field and psychological field in the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05);there was also no significant difference in the comparison of the above six scores between the two groups(P>0.05). There was significant difference in the comparison of SEMG in the treatment group before and after treatment(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in the control group(P>0.05);there was significant difference in the comparison of SEMG between the two groups(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Yi Jin Jing exercises combined with articular injection can effectively lessen the pain of patients, increase joint functional activities, improve the quality of life, and enhance the coordination of the muscles around the knee joint, which is better than the simple injection of sodium hyaluronate.
