Abstract：The chapter of Linglan Midian in Suwen clarifies the status and relationship of viscera and bowels by means of political metaphor，and emphasizes the important auxiliary effect of the lung on the heart. The interpretation on “lung，the office of prime minister，is responsible for management and regulation” reveals the meaning of “lung governs management and regulation”；that is，lung can regulate the heart and make its activity regular. The theory of “the heart stores the spirit” has established the status of the heart as the monarch. The relationship between the lung governs the qi and the heart governs the blood is embodied in the fact that “lung，the office of prime minister” helps the heart move blood，regulates cardiac activity and has a certain relationship with the regulation of the mind. Therefore，there are great clinical significance and guidance to put forward the method of tonifying the lung to assist the heart for heart deficiency syndrome，the method of opening the sweat ducts and promoting sweating for edema caused by heart yang deficiency， as well as the method of treating emotional diseases from the lung.
