Abstract： Objective： To observe the effect of Yiqi Xiaoliu prescription combined with chemotherapy on the clinical effect， Chinese medicine syndrome scores， immune function and adverse reactions in patients after radical surgery for colorectal cancer. Methods： A total of 86 cases of patients with colorectal cancer undergoing selective anus- preserving radical surgery were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， 43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with FOLFOX4 chemotherapy which included oxaliplatin， 5- fluorouracil and calcium folinate， and the observation group was additionally treated with oral administration of Yiqi Xiaoliu prescription based on the treatment of the control group. The differences in Chinese medicine syndrome scores and the indexes related to immune function，namely CD3+ and CD4+/CD8+ in T lymphocyte subsets were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The clinical effect and the incidence of adverse reactions during chemotherapy were recorded in the two groups. Results：After treatment，the Chinese medicine syndrome scores of the main and secondary symptoms in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，compared the levels of CD3 + and CD4+/CD8+ in the control group before and after treatment，there was no significance in the difference(P＞0.05)；the levels of CD3 + and CD4 +/CD8 + in the observation group were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). The clinical effect in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group(P＜0.05). The incidence of nausea，vomiting，diarrhea，anemia，thrombocytopenia and neutropenia was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of Yiqi Xiaoliu prescription combined with chemotherapy has significant curative effect in treating patients after radical surgery for colorectal cancer. It can relieve their Chinese medicine syndromes，improve the immune function and reduce adverse reactions，which is beneficial to prognosis.
