Abstract: Objective: Based on retrospective cohort study, to evaluate the effect of Hedan tablets at different therapeutic dosage on blood lipid metabolism, the liver function and the kidney function in patients with coronary heart disease after revascularization. Methods:A total of 11 819 cases of patients with coronary heart disease after revascularization were selected. According to WHO criteria of age division, the enrolled patients were divided into the young group, the middle age group and the senile group. Based on routine western medicine treatment, according to the condition of oral administration of Hedan tablets, patients in each age group were divided into the non- exposed group A who didn't use Hedan tablets, the low- exposed group B at dosage between one to five days, and the high- exposed group C at dosage more than five days. With Hedan tablets at different therapeutic dosage, the changes in the indexes of blood lipid metabolism, the liver function and the kidney function in each age group were observed. Results:In the young group, after treatment, the levels of TC,HDL- C and LDL- C in the non- exposed group A,the low- exposed group B and the highexposed group C were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),but there being no significance in the difference among the groups(P>0.05). In the senile group, after treatment, the levels of TC and LDL- C in the nonexposed group A,the low- exposed group B and the high- exposed group C were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the decease in the high-exposed group C was most significant, and the difference among the groups being significant(P<0.05);after treatment, the levels of HDL-C in the above three groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), but there being no significance in the difference among the groups(P> 0.05). After treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the levels of ALT,AST and Cr in the three groups of the young group(P>0.05);in the three groups of the middle age and those of the senile group, the above three levels were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05). Conclusion: Based on routine western medicine treatment, the additional application of Hedan tablets has advantage of slightly reducing the levels of TC and LDL-C for senile patients. The advantage was more significant at dosage more than five days, and Hedan tablets has good safety for patients in all ages.
