Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of Qingre Huayu tang on the nerve function and hemorheology in patients during convalescence of stroke. Methods:A total of 126 cases of patients during convalescence of stroke were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, 63 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing and western medicine, the observation group was additionally treated with Qingre Huayu tang based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect and the changes in symptom scores, the nerve function and hemorheological indexes were observed in the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 90.48% in the observation group,higher than that of 77.78% in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment,the symptom scores of deviated mouth and eye,dysphagia,sluggish tongue and hemiplegia in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment,and the scores in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment,and the scores of Fugl- Meyer Motor Function(FMA) and Barthel Index were increased; the score of NIHSS in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the scores of FMA and Barthel Index were higher,differences being significant(P< 0.05). After treatment, plasma viscosity, hematocrit(HCT), whole blood viscosity, erythrocyte electrophoresis(EEP) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and each index in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Qingre Huayu tang has significant curative effect on patients during convalescence of stroke,which can improve hemorheological indexes,recover the nerve function,and enhance the ability of exercise and daily activities.
