Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Tianma Gouteng Yin combined with betastatin for vertigo. Methods:A total of 68 patients with vertigo were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group,34 cases in each group. The control group was routinely treated with betastatin, and the treatment group was treated with Tianma Gouteng Yin based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The clinical effect, recurrence rate, adverse reation rate changes of Chinese medicine syndrome score in the two groups were observed and compared before and after treatment in the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 94.12% in the treatment group and 76.47% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of vertigo, headache, visual impairment, cataplexy, neck function and body position change, as well as the total scores in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and each score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). The recurrence rate was 3.13% in the treatment group and 22.22% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The adverse reaction rate was 2.94% in the treatment group and 11.76% in the control group, the difference being no significant(P>0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Tianma Gouteng Yin combined with betastatin has significant therapeutic effect in treating vertigo, which can significantly relieve the clinical symptoms of patients, reduce the recurrence rate.
