Abstract：Objective：To observe the curative effect of external application of Sanhuang ointment and Qingpeng ointment combined with nursing for acute gouty arthritis. Methods： A total of 87 cases of patients with acute gouty arthritis in our hospital were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method， 45 and 42 cases in each group respectively. The control group was given the external application of Qingpeng ointment，and the observation group was additionally given the external application of Sanhuang ointment. Both groups were additionally given corresponding nursing intervention， and were treated for one course， with 14 days as a course. After treatment，the clinical effect in the two groups was evaluated. Before and after treatment，the scores of clinical symptoms and signs were evaluated， and blood uric acid(BUA)， C- reactive protein(CRP) and interleukin- 6(IL- 6) in serum were detected. Results：After treatment，the total clinical effective rate was 91.11% in the observation group and 69.05% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The total scores of clinical symptoms and signs in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). The levels of BUA，CRP and IL-6 in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above three indexes in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of external application of Sanhuang ointment and Qingpeng ointment combined with corresponding nursing measures for patients with acute gouty arthritis can improve the clinical effect and clinical symptoms，reduce the contents of blood uric acid in patients and relieve the inflammatory responses，which has important value in the clinical treatment.
