Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of medicated diet of Chinese medicine on the improvement of gastrointestinal function and nutritional status of patients with qi deficiency and blood depletion syndrome after operation for gastric cancer. Methods:A total of 70 cases of patients with qi deficiency and blood depletion syndrome after operation for gastric cancer were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number method,35 cases in each group. After operation, the control group was given enteral nutrition support, and the observation group was additionally given medicated diet of Chinese medicine based on the treatment of the control group. After operation, the recovery time of the first exhaust, first defecation and bowel sounds, the clinical effect and the levels of growth hormone (GH),albumin(Alb) and transferrin(TRF) in serum in the two groups were compared. Results:After treatment, the recovery time of first exhaust, first defecation and bowel sounds in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05). The excellent and good rate was 54.29% in the observation group, higher than that of 28.57% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of GH,Alb and TRF in serum in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and the above levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: Medicated diet of Chinese medicine can effectively improve the gastrointestinal function and nutritional status of patients with qi deficiency and blood depletion syndrome after operation for gastric cancer, with definite curative effect.
