Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Sanzi Yangqin tang combined with Xiaoxianxiong tang for children with pneumonic dyspnea and cough，and its effect on the incidence of adverse reactions. Methods：A total of 60 cases of children with pneumonic dyspnea and cough were selected as the study objects，and were divided into two groups according to the random number table method， 30 cases in each group. Both groups were given with routine treatments and Sanzi Yangqin tang，and the observation group was additionally treated with Xiaoxianxiong tang. Both groups were treated for ten days. The curative effect in the two groups was evaluated. The body mass index， the scores of integrated state， the disappearance time of main clinical symptoms， and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results：After treatment，compared with that in the control group，in the observation group，the body mass index was higher； the score of integrated state was lower； the disappearance time of main clinical symptoms such as fever， cough and lung rales was earlier； differences being significant (P＜0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions such as short breath，fever，poor appetite and nausea in the observation group campared with that in the control group，the difference was not statistically significant (P＞0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of Sanzi Yangqin tang combined with Xiaoxianxiong tang have good curative effect in treating children with pneumonic dyspnea and cough，which can effectively improve symptoms， and shorten the disappearance time of symptoms，with low incidence of adverse reactions. Its curative effect is better than that of simple Sanzi Yangqin tang.
