Abstract:Abstract:Acne is a kind of chronic inflammatory dermatoses of hair follicles and sebaceous glands. It is prone to occur in teenagers,with a great influence on psychology and social intercourse of patients. In western medicine,vitamin A is taken orally, and antibiotics combined with hormonal ointment are treated externally. However, it is easy to relapse after drug withdrawal. In Chinese medicine,personalized treatments for acne are applied based on specific conditions so as to reduce adverse reactions. There are classical prescriptions including Qingfei Pipa yin,Wuwei Xiaodu yin and Xianfang Huoming yin, acupuncture therapies including fire needle,blood-letting puncture and autohemotherapy,as well as scraping and Chinese medicine facial mask. The authors summarized the relevant literature about Chinese medicine for acne in recent years, in order to provide reference for its clinical treatment.
