Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of point massage of Chinese medicine combined with emotional nursing on patients with advanced lung cancer. Methods:A total of 62 cases of patients with advanced lung cancer were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, 31 cases in each group. The control group was given integrated Chinese and western medicine therapy combined with routine nursing, and the observation group was additionally treated with point massage combined with emotional nursing based on the treatment of the control group for one month. The pain in the two groups was evaluated by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS);the mental status in the two groups was evaluated by Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS) and Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS);the quality of life in the two groups was evaluated by the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire- C30(EORTC QLQ- C30). After nine months of follow- up,the survival time in the two groups was counted. Results:After intervention for two, three and four weeks respectively, the scores of VAS,SDS and SAS in the two groups were all lower than those before intervention(P<0.05),and the above scores in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group at the same time point(P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of body function, cognitive function and social function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the scores of nausea, vomiting, fatigue and insomnia were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). After follow-up for nine months, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the survival rates between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of point massage combined with emotional nursing can effectively relieve the pain of patients, and greatly improve their sleep quality and quality of life.
