Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Bufei Yishen Pingchuan prescription for persistent asthma with lung-kidney yin deficiency syndrome in children. Methods：A total of 64 cases of children with persistent asthma with lungkidney yin deficiency syndrome were divided into two groups according to random number table method，32 cases in each group. The control group was given clinical comprehensive therapy，and the observation group was additionally given Bufei Yishen Pingchuan prescription. After seven days of treatment， the disappearance time of main symptoms and signs， the lung function，and the levels of inflammatory factors in serum in the two groups after treatment were compared，and the clinical effect in the two groups was counted. Results：The total effective rate was 93.7% in the observation group，higher than that of 71.9% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the disappearance time of wheeze，cough，dyspnea and wheezing rale in lung in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group(P＜0.01)； peak expiratory flow rate(PEFR)，forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1)，and forced vital capacity(FVC) in the two groups were significantly increased(P＜0.01)，and the above indexes of lung function in the observation group were increased more significantly(P＜0.01). After treatment，the levels of interleukin-4(IL-4) and eosinophil cationic protein(ECP) in the two groups were significantly decreased(P＜0.01)， and the levels of Interferon-γ(IFN-γ) were significantly increased(P＜0.01)； the improvement of the above indexes of inflammatory factors in serum in the observation group was more significant(P＜0.01). Conclusion：Bufei Yishen Pingchuan prescription can inhibit inflammatory response of children with persistent asthma with lung- kidney yin deficiency syndrome， and improve lung function of patients， which has significant curative effect on relieving the clinical symptoms of children.
