Abstract：Objective：To discuss the application value of puncture and irrigation under ultrasound guidance combined with Ruyongxiao tang in the treatment of mammary abscess. Methods：A total of 60 cases of patients with mammary abscess in lactation period were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to random number table method， 30 cases in each group. The control group was given puncture for extracting pus under ultrasound guidance and washed by normal saline，and the observation group was additionally given Ruyongxiao tang. The times of dressing change， the regression time of red swelling，the healing time and the condition of prognosis in the two groups were observed. The scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and the clinical effect in the two groups were evaluated. Results：After treatment，the scores of VAS，the times of dressing change，the regression time of red swelling and the healing time in the observation group were lower than those in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). The total effective rate was 96.67% in the observation group and 93.33% in the control group， there being no significance in the difference(P＞0.05). After treatment， the recovery rate of lactation was 96.67% in the observation group， higher than that of 76.67% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). When compared the rate of nipple- areola sensory disturbance and the recurrence rate between the two groups，there was no significance in differences(P＞0.05). Conclusion：The application of puncture and irrigation under ultrasound guidance combined with Ruyongxiao tang in treating mammary abscess， can alleviate pain of patients，reduce the times of dressing change，shorten the postoperative recovery time，and has positive effect on recovering lactation for patients，which is worthy of clinical promotion.
