Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of point application combined with emotional nursing of Chinese medicine intervening mental disorders induced by epilepsy. Methods:A total of 106 cases of patients with mental disorders induced by epilepsy were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, 53 cases in each group. Both groups were given routine medicine; the control group was additionally given emotional nursing of Chinese medicine, and the observation group was additionally given point application based on the treatment of the control group. The intervention was lasted for two months. The scores of Positive and Negative Symptom Scale(PANSS),clinical effect and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment,the scores of positive symptoms,negative symptoms and general situation in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the decrease of above three scores in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05). The clinical effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). When compared the incidence of reaction of extrapyramidal system, palpitations, postural hypotension, nausea and blurred version between the two groups, there was no significance in differences(P>0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of point application combined with emotional nursing of Chinese medicine in intervening mental disorders induced by epilepsy can improve symptoms of patients and enhance curative effect,with good safety.
