Abstract： Objective： To observe the effect of Tenghuang Jiangu pills combined with arthroscopic surgery for knee osteoarthritis(KOA). Methods： Selected 106 cases of patients with KOA who received surgery， and divided them into the control group and the observation group according to random number table， 53 cases in each group. The control group received arthroscopic surgery combined with functional exercise， while the observation group additionally received Tenghuang Jiangu pills. Compared the curative effect between the two groups. Results：In the 2nd month after operation， the degree of knee joint pain in both groups was decreased(P＜0.05)，and the degree of knee joint pain in the observation group was decreased more obviously than that in the control group(t =6.509，P＜0.05)；knee joint function in both groups was improved(P＜0.05)， and knee joint function in the observation group was improved more obviously than that in the control group(t =-5.656，P＜0.05)；the quality of life in both groups was improved(P＜0.05)，and the quality of life in the observation group was improved more obviously than that in the control group(t=- 5.815， P＜0.05). Conclusion： The application of Tenghuang Jiangu pills combined with arthroscopic surgery has good effect in treating KOA， which can promote postoperative recovery and improve the curative effect.
