Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Huoxue Xiaoying pills combined with Xiakucao capsules for Hashimoto’ s thyroiditis complicated with nodules. Methods： A total of 82 cases of patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis complicated with nodules were divided into the control group and the observation group according the random number table method， 41 cases in each group. The control group was treated with levothyroxine sodium tablets， and the observation group was treated with Huoxue Xiaoying pills combined with Xiakucao capsules. The clinical effect and the changes in the diameters of thyroid nodules， the thyroid function and the levels of thyroid antibody before and after treatment in the two groups were compared. Results：The total effective rate was 92.68% in the observation group，higher than that of 65.85% in the control group(P＜0.05). Before treatment， there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the diameters of thyroid nodules between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment，the diameters of thyroid nodules in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment， and the diameters in the observation group were smaller than those in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment，compared the levels of free triiodothyronine(FT3)， free thyroxine(FT4) and thyroid- stimulating hormone(TSH) between the two groups， there was no significance in the difference(P＞0.05). Compared the levels of FT3，FT4 and TSH before and after treatment，there was no significant difference being found in either groups(P＞0.05)；no significant difference was found in the comparison between the two groups after treatment(P＞0.05). Before treatment，compared the levels of thyroid peroxidase antibodies(TPOAb) and thyroglobulin antibodies(TGAb) between the two groups， there was no significance in the difference(P＞0.05). After treatment，the levels of TPOAb and TGAb in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion： The therapy of Huoxue Xiaoying pills combined with Xiakucao capsules has no obvious effect on the thyroid function in patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis complicated with nodules，and it can reduce the levels of TPOAb and TGAb，with good curative effect.
