Abstract： Objective： To observe the effect of high- quality nursing of integrated Chinese and western medicine on patients after laparoscopic appendectomy. Methods： A total of 68 cases of patients with acute appendicitis underwent laparoscopic appendectomy were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method，34 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing，and the observation group was additionally treated with high-quality nursing of integrated Chinese and western medicine based on the treatment of the control group. The first off-bed time，exhaust time，hospitalization time，the scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)， complication rate and nursing satisfaction in the two groups were compared. Results：The first off-bed time，exhaust time and hospitalization time in the observation group were all shorter than those in the control group，differences being significant (P＜0.05). Before nursing，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of VAS scores between the two groups(P＞0.05). After nursing，VAS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before nursing， and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The complication rate was 5.9% in the observation group，lower than that of 23.5% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The nursing satisfaction was 100% in the observation group and 91.18% in the control group， there being no significance in the difference(P＞0.05). Conclusion： The application of high- quality nursing of integrated Chinese and western medicine can effectively shorten the first off- bed time， exhaust time and hospitalization time， reduce VAS score and complication rate， improve the nursing satisfaction， accelerate postoperative recovery of patients and enhance their quality of life.
