Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of chemotherapy combined with Jianpi Xiaoji tang for advanced gastric cancer. Methods： A total of 62 cases of patients with advanced gastric cancer were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group，31 cases in each group. The control group was treated with chemotherapy，and the observation group was additionally treated with Jianpi Xiaoji tang based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect and the changes in Chinese medicine syndrome scores before and after treatment in the two groups were observed. Results：The total effective rate was 58.06% in the observation group，higher than that of 41.94% in the control group，but there was no significance in the difference(P＞0.05). After treatment， the Chinese medicine syndrome scores including stomachache， gastric distention， nausea and vomiting in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)；the scores of stomachache，nausea and vomiting in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)；there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the scores of gastric distention between the two groups(P＞0.05). Conclusion：Based on chemotherapy，the adjuvant therapy of Jianpi Xiaoji tang in treating advanced gastric cancer can improve the clinical effect and symptoms.
