Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Bazhen Yimu capsules combined with Duphaston for irregular menstruation. Methods：A total of 68 cases of patients with anovulatory irregular menstruation were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method，34 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Duphaston，and the observation group was additionally treated with Bazhen Yimu capsules based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The changes in the total curative effect of menstrual improvement， ovulation rate and pregnancy rate as well as the levels of the indexes of serum sex hormones including estrogen(E2)， progesterone(P) and luteinizing hormone(LH) in the two groups were observed and compared. Results： The total effective rate of menstrual improvement was 88.24% in the observation group and 64.71% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of E2， P and LH in serum in the two groups were significantly increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the ovulation rate and pregnancy rate were 85.29% and 61.76% respectively in the observation group and 61.76% and 32.35% respectively in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Thetherapy of Bazhen Yimu capsules combined with Duphaston for irregular menstruation can better regulate the levels of sex hormones in patients to improve their menstrual cycles and increase the ovulation rate and pregnancy rate.
