Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Tiaozhi tang for mixed hyperlipidemia with phlegm and blood stasis syndrome. Methods：A total of 60 cases of patients were randomly divided into two groups，30 cases in each group. The observation group was given self- made Tiaozhi tang， and the control group was given atorvastatin calcium tablets. Both groups were observed for two courses，with 14 days as one course. The changes of clinical effect and blood lipid before and after treatment in the two groups were compared. Results： After treatment， the total curative effect was 96.43% in the observation group and 89.66% in the control group，the difference being significant(Z=- 2.036，P=0.042). After treatment， the total cholesterol and triglyceride in the observation group were improved when compared with those before treatment(P＜ 0.01)， and the total cholesterol in the control group was improved(P＜0.01). After treatment， the comparison of total cholesterol and triglyceride between the two groups showed significance in the difference(P＜0.01). During the treatment， there was no obvious adverse reaction in the two groups. Conclusion：The application of Tiaozhi tang can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with mixed hyperlipidemia with phlegm and blood stasis syndrome，and effectively reduce the contents of total cholesterol and triglyceride，with definite curative effect and high safety.
