Abstract: Objective: To observe the curative effect of point injection with Guhong injection combined with routine therapy for diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Methods:A total of 108 cases of patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy with blood stasis obstructing the collateral syndrome were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,54 cases in each group. Both groups received strict control of blood glucose, treatment with mecobalamin injection and lipoic acid capsules, and corresponding nursing measures. The observation group was additionally given point injection with Guhong injection. Both groups were treated for four weeks. Before and after treatment, the scores of Toronto Clinical Scoring System(TCSS) and blood stasis obstructing the collateral syndrome were evaluated. The clinical effect in the two groups was compared. Results:After treatment, the clinical effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P< 0.05). The scores of hypoesthesia and the pain, weakness, numbness and coldness in limbs and their total scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01). The scores of the four main symptoms and their total score in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group(P<0.01). The total scores of TCSS and the TCSS test scores of symptoms, reflections and sensory in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01). The three-dimension scores in TCSS and their total score in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group(P<0.01). Conclusion: Based on routine western medicine, point injection with Guhong injection can effectively reduce the clinical symptoms of DPN,and improve nerve function and clinical effect.
