Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of compound Xueshuantong capsules combined with intravitreal injection of conbercept on macular edema in diabetic patients after cataract surgery. Methods:A total of 148 cases of diabetic patients (148 eyes) were diagnosed as macular edema three months after successful phacoemulsification, and were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group, 74 cases(74 eyes) in each group. Both groups were given injection of conbercept, and the observation group was additionally treated with oral administration of compound Xueshuantong capsules. The changes in the Best Corrected Visual Acuity(BCVA) and Central Macular Thickness(CMT) before treatment and in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd month after treatment were observed in the two groups; the adverse reactions were recorded. Results:In the 1st,2nd and 3rd month after treatment, the values of BCVA in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the value at each time point in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). In the 1st, 2nd and 3rd month after treatment, the CMT in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the value at each time point in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). During treatment, there was no adverse reaction related to the medication in the two groups. Conclusion:The therapy of intravitreal injection of conbercept combined with compound Xueshuantong capsules can significantly decrease macular edema in diabetic patients after cataract surgery, and effectively improve their visual acuity
