Abstract ： Objective ： To observe the clinical effect of Soothing Liver-gallbladder method combined with western medicine for acute cholecystitis. Methods：A total of 80 cases of patients with acute cholecystitis were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group，40 cases in each group respectively. The control group was treated with routine western medicine， and the observation group was additionally given Chinese medicine treatment scheme based on the treatment of the control group. The curative effect in the two groups was observed，the remission time of abdominal pain， the time of fever subsidence，the disappearance time of jaundice and the recovery time of white blood cells were compared. Results：The total clinical effective rate was 92.5% in the observation group，better than that of 55.0% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The remission time of abdominal pain， the time of fever subsidence， the disappearance time of jaundice and the recovery time of white blood cells in the observation group were all shorter than those in the control group ， the difference being significant(P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion ： The therapy of Soothing Liver-gallbladder method combined with western medicine for acute cholecystitis has significant clinical effect，which can significantly improve symptoms with high cure rate.
