Abstract： Objective： To analyze the administration rules of professor WAN Haitong in treating ischemic stroke in convalescence. Methods：The clinical information of 125 cases of patients with ischemic stroke in convalescence treated by professor WAN Haitong from January 2013 to December 2015 was collected，so were the Chinese herbs prescriptions in 200 visits. After setting up a database， descriptive analysis of the frequency， classification， meridian entry as well as qi and flavorsof Chinese herbal medicines was carried out，and cluster analysis of 57 high-frequency Chinese herbal medicines was conducted by SPSS24.0 software. Results：A total of 127 kinds of Chinese herbal medicines were used in 200 visits of 125 patients，with a cumulative frequency of administration of 4，745 times. Among them，the top seven herbs were successively Rhizoma Chuanxiong，Radix RehmanniaeRecens，Radix PuerariaeLobatae，Caulis Dendrobii，Radix Pseudostellariae，Radix Astragali and Hirudo. According to the classification of the effect， the most frequently used Chinese herbal medicines were successively deficiency-supplementing medicine，blood-activating and stasis-resolving medicine and heat-clearing medicine. The top one meridian entry of Chinese herbal medicine was the liver meridian；when we classified mild cold，cold and cool as the same kind of cold，the nature with the highest frequency was cold，and the highest-frequency flavor was sweet. Chinese herbal medicines used by professor WAN were classified into 26 categories by cluster analysis， involving prescriptions such as professor WAN's self- made YangyinYiqiHuoxue prescription， BuyangHuanwu tang， ZhenganXifeng tang， Jieyu pills， TianmaGouteng yin and Zengye tang， and couplet medicines including Radix RehmanniaeRecens and Caulis Dendrobii， Semen Persicae and FlosCarthami， Radix Astragali and Radix Pseudostellariae， Radix Scrophulariae and Radix Ophiopogonis，RhizomaGastrodiae and RamulusUncariae Cum Uncis，Poria and RhizomaAtractylodisMacrocephalae， as well as RhizomaPinelliae and RhizomaAcoriTatarinowii. Conclusion： The results of cluster analysis objectively show the administration rules of professor WAN Haitong applying YangyinYiqiHuoxue method in treating ischemic stroke in convalescence.
