Abstract：Objective：To observe the curative effect of Guanxinning tablets for coronary heart disease complicated with depression. Methods： A total of 100 cases of patients with coronary heart disease complicated with depression were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group， 50 cases in each group. The control group was given routine treatment for coronary heart disease， and the observation group was additionally treated with Guanxinning tablets based on the treatment of the control group. Before and after treatment， the levels of C- reactive protein(CRP) and homocysteine(HCY) in serum as well as the scores of Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)， Self- Rating Depression Scale (SDS) and Seattle Angina Questionnaire(SAQ) in the two groups were observed and compared. The clinical effect of electrocardiogram and depression as well as adverse reactions in the two groups were evaluated. Results：After treatment， the comparison of the clinical effect of electrocardiogram and depression showed significance in differences(P＜0.05)； the curative effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group. After treatment，the scores of HAMD and SDS in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the SAQ scores were increased(P＜0.05)；the improvement of the above scores in the observation group was better than that in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of CRP and HCY in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)； the two levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜ 0.05). During treatment，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of incidence of adverse reactions including liver dysfunction， kidney dysfunction， nausea， vomiting， rash and fever between the twp groups(P＞0.05). Conclusion：Guanxinning tablets in treating patients with coronary heart disease complicated with depression can effectively improve symptoms of heart and depression as well as clinical effect with good safety.
