Clinical Study on Modified Baihe Gujin Tang Combined with Intrapleural Injection of Cisplatin for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Complicated with Malignant Pleural Effusion
Abstract:Objective:To observe the curative effect of modified Baihe Gujin tang combined with intrapleural injection of cisplatin for patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) complicated with malignant pleural effusion(MPE). Methods:A total of 102 cases of patients with NSCLC complicated with MPE were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,51 cases in each group. The control group was treated with intrapleural injection of cisplatin,and the observation group was additionally treated with modified Baihe Gujin tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for two courses of treatment, 28 days as a course. Before and after treatment, the scores of Chinese medicine syndromes and quality of life,the immune function and curative effect in the two groups were compared. Results:After treatment,the levels of CD4+,CD4+/CD8+,immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin G(IgG) and immunoglobulin M(IgM) in the observation group were increased when compared with those before treatment and higher than those in the control group(P<0.05);CD8+ level in the observation group was decreased when compared with that before treatment and lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased,and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05);the scores of quality of life in the two groups were increased,and the score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P< 0.05). The total effective rate was 64.71%(33/51) in the observation group,significantly higher than that of 43.14%(22/51) in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of modified Baihe Gujin tang combined with intrapleural injection of cisplatin for NSCLC complicated with MPE has significant curative effect, can relieve lung symptoms and obviously improve the immune function and quality of life of patients.
