Abstract：Objective：To observe the effect of integrated Chineseand western medicine therapy with adjuvant therapyof modified Banxia Xiexin tang forhelicobacter pylori-related peptic ulcer. Methods ： A total of 80 cases of patients with helicobacter pylori- related peptic ulcer were randomly divided into two groups，40 cases in each group. The control group was given routine western medicine， and the observation group was additionally treated with modified Banxia Xiexin tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for one month. The clinical effect， the negative conversion rate of helicobacter pylori， adverse reactions， as well as the scores of pain， acid regurgitation， nausea， belching and other related symptoms before and after treatment were observed and compared between the two groups. Results：After treatment，the comparison of clinical effect between the two groups showed significance in the difference(P＜ 0.05)，the curative effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group. The negative conversion rate of helicobacter pylori was 92.5% in the observation group and 75.00% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜ 0.05). After treatment，the symptom scores of pain，acid regurgitation，nausea，belching in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and each score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). During treatment，when compared the incidence of poor appetite，constipation，fever，headache and other adverse reactions between the two groups， there was no significance in differences(P＞0.05). Conclusion： Integrated Chinese and western medicine therapy withthe adjuvant therapy of modified Banxia Xiexin tang in treating helicobacter pylori- related peptic ulcer can significantly relieve symptoms and improve the negative conversion rate of helicobacter pylori，whose curative effect is better than that of simple western medicine.
